Description

Tulipwood also know as Poplar is grown in the USA it is non resistant to decay, the heartwood is moderately resistant to preservative treatment.
The sapwood is creamy white and maybe streaked with heartwood varying from pale to yellow/ brown to olive green. The wood has a medium to fine texture and is straight grained. A versatile timber which is easy to machine and similar to Idigbo in general strength properties.

Easy to work and finishes to a fine smooth surface. Takes nails without tending to split, glues well can be stained, polished or painted and holds hard enamel finishes excellently.
